A two-year captain at midfield, he was a first-team All-Ivy selection in 1998 and 1999. In 1998, became the first Cornell midfielder since 1990 to earn USILA All-America honors. He was named team MVP as sophomore in 1997 and also received the Joe Philip Memorial Award, given annually to the player contributing most to the overall team effort. Following graduation in 1999, Dutton was invited to compete for the North team in the USILA’s annual North/South Classic. He ended his career with 118 points. In football, Dutton played at the wide receiver position. In his second game of collegiate football, he had 11 catches for 111 yards. Dutton played for the New Jersey Pride and Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse, helping the Rattlers to the 2008 MLL Zip Championship. He also played for the National Lacrosse League’s Rochester Knighthawks from 2005-07. In 2002, Dutton founded the Next Level lacrosse camp for boys and girls ages 8-18. He served as an assistant coach for the Big Red men’s lacrosse team for the 2003 and 2004 seasons.Â
