Brumley was named to the CoSIDA Division I Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Academic All-America Third Team in 2018. As one of the top distance and steeplechase runners in the Northeast, she was runner-up in the 3000 steeplechase at the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championships and successfully defended her title in the same event at the ECAC Outdoor Championships. Brumley she capped-off her junior season at the NCAA East Preliminary Championships in May, taking 19th overall. She had also been a mainstay during the 2017 cross country season, finishing as a top-five scorer for Cornell in five out of six meets.
