Hamori was a four-time competitor in the NCAA Women's Fencing Championships and a two-time All-American, earning first team honors in 1982 on the basis of her fourth-place finish at the national championships and second-team honors in 1983. Although she was injured for the first part of her junior season, Hamori compiled a 14-1 mark in dual matches and finished 13th at both the NCAA championships and the U.S. Olympic Trials. She was named to the All-Ivy first team in 1985, after earning All-Ivy second-team accolades as a freshman and sophomore. She compiled a career-best dual match record of 35-7 as a senior and placed 20th at the NCAA championships after a fifth-place performance at the NCAA Eastern Regional championships.Â
