Rice was named an honorable mention All-American in 1977 as a junior. A team co-captain as a senior, Rice helped the Big Red to an Ivy title in 1977 and was named first-team All-Ivy after scoring 10 goals - including six game-winning scores - with four assists.He was a second team All-Ivy pick as a senior and an honorable mention selection as a sophomore. Rice ended his career fourth on the school's career points list (55 points), sixth in goals (22) and third in assists (11).
