A high-scoring lacrosse attackman for three years, Brennan was an All-America second-team selection in 1938 and 1939. He set the Cornell and intercollegiate record for most goals scored in a single game, with 10 vs. Pennsylvania in 1940; the Cornell record still stands. He was co-captain of the team in 1940, and was selected to play for the North in the North-South All-Star game. He was manager of the swimming team from 1937-39, and participated in lightweight football for two seasons. The Geneva, N.Y., native is retired as chairman of the board of the Geneva Foundry Corp.
