An excellent hockey defenseman, Pattison was a two-time All-America, All-East and All-Ivy first team selection. As a junior, he was named to the ECAC and NCAA tournament first teams. During his three-year career, Cornell posted a record of 81-5-1, was national champion in 1967 and was runner-up in 1969. A co-captain of the team as a senior, he chalked up 95 career points on 28 goals and 67 assists. He also earned a letter in football in 1966 as a place-kicker and punter, and lettered in golf in 1968.
