Paletta was named a second-team All-American defensemen in 1987, as well as a three-time All-Ivy honoree, earning first-team selections in each of his final two seasons. He played in 52 career games and picked up 194 ground balls. Paletta was a two-time team captain and won the team’s Joe Philip Memorial Award, given annually to the person contributing to the overall team effort following his senior season. He also won the team’s Rick LaFrance award in 1986 and the team’s Most Improved Player award in 1983. For his efforts, he was selected to play in the 1987 North-South Senior All-Star Game.Â
