Mazzurco was a two-time All-American for the Big Red, placing fifth at 174 pounds in 2005 and sixth at 184 pounds in 2006. The three-time NCAA qualifier at three different weights, he won an EIWA title at 174 in 2005. Mazzurco posted a 110-20 record in his career, including a 41-4 mark in 2005.
