Brogan was a third-team All-American defender in 1958, helping the Big Red to a 9-1-1 record overall and a mark of 4-1 in the Ivy League, losing to Princeton in the season finale, 11-7. Prior to the game with the Tigers, Brogan’s defense helped the Big Red to hold each of its opponents to six or fewer goals.
