A second team Empacher-CRCA All-American as a senior in 2024, Rau coxed the varsity eight for the entirety of her final two seasons, guiding the crew to first-place finishes at the Geiger Cup and Baggaley Bowl. She also coxed the varsity eight at the Head of the Charles and steered the crew to a first-place finish at the Princeton Chase, where she additionally led the varsity four to the best time ever recorded by a Cornell lightweight crew at the event. The previous season, she coxed the varsity eight to a fifth-place finish at the IRA National Championship and was selected as the team's Coach's Award recipient.
