Call earned fifth-team CoSIDA Academic All-America accolades in 1978 after averaging 7.6 points and 1.8 rebounds while playing 31.5 minutes per contest. Call was a three-year letter winner for the basketball team, compiling 506 points, 134 rebounds and 103 assists in his three varsity seasons. He shot 48 percent from the field and 76 percent from the free-throw line.
