The national runner-up at 184 pounds in 2019, Dean was a two-time All-American who completed his two-year career with the Big Red with a 57-12 record. The 2019 EIWA champion was the conference runner-up the year prior. The two-time unanimous first-team All-Ivy League pick went a perfect 9-0 in Ivy dual meets over his two seasons. As a freshman, he went 32-6 overall and placed eighth at nationals, winning the Bearcat Open and the New York State Intercollegiate, then posted a 25-6 mark as a sophomore.
