O'Connor became the Big Red's 16th All-American in program history. She was selected to the IWLCA All-America second team, as well as being a first-team all-region pick. Her outstanding performance on the field led O'Connor to become a unanimous first-team All-Ivy honoree after pacing the team in draw controls (43) and ranking second in ground balls (30) and caused turnovers (19). The 43 draws were good for third in the Ivy League and ranks second all-time in a season at Cornell. Overall, she had nine games in 2009 with at least three draw wins, including a career-high six to go along with two caused turnovers against Brown. A tenacious defender, she started all 16 of the team's games that season and scored four goals. O'Connor was an honorable mention All-Ivy pick as a sophomore in 2008. O’Conner continued to find success not only two years later in 2010 when she was named the Tewaaraton Award Candidate, but for three consecutive years, from 2007-2010 where she was named an All-Time Letter Winner.
