Dresser was a three-time All-American with a first-team selection in 1960 after being chosen to the third team in 1959 and earning an honorable mention nod in 1958. He was a two-time first-team All-Ivy honoree with a unanimous selection in 1960, after being a second-team choice in 1958.  Dresser led the team in scoring in 1959 when Cornell went 9-2 overall and was runner-up for Ivy title. Despite not playing lacrosse prior to Cornell, he finished his three-year career with 50 goals and 14 assists, and served as team captain as a senior.
