Stanec earned NCAA All-America honors after placing seventh at 174 pounds in 2001. The two-time EIWA placewinner, including the runner-up at 174 as a junior, Stanec posted a 103-52 career record with 41 bonus wins. He was a two-time All-Ivy selection who captured first-team accolades in 2001.
