A three-time All-American, Cynar earned a second-team selection as a senior after a pair of honorable mention selections. A four-year starter in goal, he ended his brilliant career with 35 victories, a .581 save percentage, a 7.86 goals-against average, and registered 588 saves, good for fourth all-time in Cornell history. As a senior, Cynar put up a career-best 6.98 goals-against average in 2002 and led his team to 11 victories, the most since 1987, and to the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time since 1988.He was a three-time All-Ivy selection (second team in 2000 and 2001, honorable mention in 2002) and was given the Charles H. Moore '51 Outstanding Senior Varsity Athlete Award. Following graduation, he was drafted by the MLL’s Baltimore Bayhawks.
