Hopkins earned IRCA All-America first team honors in 2022 after helping the Big Red's lightweight varsity eight to an undefeated regular season. Cornell took fourth at the Eastern Sprints and fifth at the IRA national championships. He earned second-team All-Ivy League honors as part of the varsity eight that finished four at Easterns and second among Ivy boats.
