Muehleman was a two-time All-American at defense, earning honorable mention accolades in 1978 after a second-team selection as a junior.  He was also a two-time second-team All-Ivy honoree and a three year letter winner. Following his senior season, Muehleman played for the victorious North team at the 37th annual North-South All-Star Game.
