Dadswell was named the goaltender for the All-America First Team in 1986, when he was also the Ithaca Journal Male Athlete of the Year after Cornell won the ECAC title. He was the MVP of the 1986 ECAC tournament, when he recorded an ECAC record 57 saves in a 3-2 double OT win over Yale in the semifinal game. Dadswell led the nation in save percentage (.914) and set Cornell records for saves in a season (967), season games played (30, 1986) and minutes played by a goalie in a season (1815, 1986). He was named to ECAC Second Team and All-Ivy 2nd team in '86; All-Ivy honorable mention as a freshman. Dadswell compiled a two-year record of 37-17-4, a 3.27 career goals-against average and a save percentage of .907. He left Cornell following his sophomore year to play pro hockey with the Calgary Flames organization and was later a member of Canadian National Team in 1991.
