Devling was one of the top collegiate sailors in the Mid-Atlantic, earning MAISA Sailor of the Year honors as a senior while being named a first-team All-MAISA women’s skipper. A four-year skipper and five-time All-MAISA selection, she helped lead the Big Red to a MAISA Women’s Team Race Championship and multiple top finishes at conference regattas, while competing at the highest level of intercollegiate sailing, including appearances at the ICSA Women’s Team Race Championship and the Women’s and Open Fleet Race national events. As a junior, she earned ICSA honorable mention All-America recognition and was a second-team All-MAISA selection in both women’s and open competition, highlighting her versatility across formats. From her freshman season, when she helped guide Cornell to its first MAISA Women’s Team Race Championship and a berth in the national finals, Devling was a consistent leader and top performer. In her four seasons, Big Red sailing had three top-six national finishes at fleet race nationals, three top-seven efforts in team race nationals, four straight MAISA spring women’s and team race titles, and a fall championship.
