Baier had a storybook senior season, going 40-4 and finishing as the NCAA runner-up at 184 pounds in 2005 to capture All-America honors. The EIWA champion as a senior, he was a three-time NCAA qualifier who finished his career with a 103-41 record. He recorded 24 wins by fall and 52 total bonus wins. Baier was named first-team All-Ivy in each of his final three seasons.
