Bilodeau competed for the women's fencing team for two years, earning second-team All-American honors both seasons. As a freshman, she compiled a 33-4 record and placed fifth at the NIWFA tournament. As a sophomore she went 26-5. She captained the team in 1977-78 and helped the 1976-77 team to 13-0 dual meet record and a second-place national finish. Bilodeau qualified for the national team by taking first place in a qualifying meet in Philadelphia and competed for the U.S. women's fencing team at the Under-20 World Fencing Championships in Vienna, Austria, in 1977.
