Huyler was a first team NCAA All-American in the high jump outdoors in 2009, placing eighth overall. He won three Heps titles in the event (indoors in 2007, outdoors in 2008 and 2009) and graduated with school records in both (7-1 indoors, 7-3 outdoors). A team co-cpatain as a senior, he was the NCAA East Regional runner-up that year.
