An outstanding forward and three-year letterman in soccer, he was an All-New York State and All-Ivy first-team pick in 1956 and 1957. He was second-team Al-Ivy and honorable mention All-NYS in 1958. Stratta was an All-America second-team choice as a junior after receiving honorable mention his sophomore year. He led the Ivy League in scoring in 1956 and '57, and topped the Big Red in scoring all three of his varsity seasons. Captain of the team in 1958, he ranks third in both career goals scored (28) and career points (57). He participated in the prestigious North-South All-Star game his senior year. Stratta, who came to Cornell from Rome, Italy, now makes his home in Beverley Hills, California, where he is president and chief executive officer of the Beverley Hills Hotel Corp.
