Goldstein was a two-time first-team All-American and two-time first-team All-Ivy attackman. He was named the Ivy Player of the Year 1987, as well as team MVP in 1987 and 1988. Goldstein was the recipient of Lt. Ray Enners Award as nation's outstanding player and also won Turnbull Award as the USILA Division I outstanding attackman in 1987. He was also the MVP of the NCAA tournament in 1987.  Goldstein led the nation in scoring and broke the all-time collegiate record for season assists (73) in 1987; becoming only the second player in college lacrosse history to register 100 season points. A transfer from Hofstra, he served as the team’s tri-captain in 1988.Â
