An IWLCA second-team All-American as a senior, Helmer was a three-time All-Ivy League selection. She earned first-team accolades as a senior and honorable mention accolades her previous two seasons. She was invited to play in the IWLCA’s Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game.  A two-year captain, Helmer graduated sixth in school history in caused turnovers.
