Considered one of Cornell’s most versatile swimmers of all-time, Boizelle won both the 200 and 400 individual medley at the 1968 Eastern Seaboard Swimming Championships, while taking second in the 200 butterfly. He went on to win the 200 fly at the 1970 Eastern championships. Boizelle made the All-America team at the 1970 NCAA championships, placing 10th in the consolation final. Over this three-year varsity career, he set numerous Cornell records, including the 200-, 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle events; the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard butterfly, the 200 and 400 individual medleys; and as a member of the 400 medley relay and the 400 and 800 freestyle relays. Boizelle served as captain of the team his senior year.
