Spettigue was named to the All-Ivy League First Team and the College Squash Association All-America Second Team in both 2011 and 2012. As a senior, he had a record of 12-2, which gave him the best winning percentage on the team among competitors who appeared in more than half of the team's matches. Always competing in the top half of the lineup, Spettigue was a perfect 5-0 in matches at the No. 3 spot. He ended the season with eight consecutive victories in dual matches – including all three matches against Yale, Princeton and Harvard at the Potter Cup. He went on to compete in the Pool Division at the College Squash Association's Individual Championships.
