Gesualdi was a third-team Associated Press FCA All-American as a junior, as well as a two-time first team All-Ivy League selection. In the process, he became the first Cornell defensive player to be placed on the first team in consecutive years since Chris Zingo '94 in 1992 and 1993. He ranked second on the team in tackles (60), leading the team in solo stops (42), and was third in the Ivy League with three interceptions (55th nationally) as a senior. Gesualdi was second in the conference with 10 passes defended, a mark that was 57th nationally. The team captain had an interception in his final career game, giving him 14 for his career – the most by a Big Red player in 68 years and second on the school's all-time list. As a junior, he tied for the league lead and ranked third nationally with his six interceptions, including four coming in conference play, as well as leading the Ancient Eight in passes defended (1.1 per game), a mark that was 39th nationally. He was second in the league and 12th nationally in solo tackles that year. The 2014 conference Rookie of the Year set a school record with four Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors thanks to a Big Red record four interceptions, good for first in the Ivy League and 25th nationally. He was also named Ivy Defensive Player of the Week once that year and three times in his career. The four-year starter graduated as the 13th player in school history with 250 tackles.
